GRUBER Logistics S.p.A.
Logistics & Transportation
Gruber Logistics, a long-standing Italian company in the transport and integrated logistics sector founded in Ora (BZ) in 1936 by Josef Gruber, has chosen to integrate Zucchetti's WMS Replica and TMS Sima to optimise the coordinated management of warehouse and transport flows.
This project is in line with the innovative vision of the Group, which has 60 branches in 15 countries.
Since 1986, the company has been using TMS Sima – known on the market under the SGA brand – as a vertical ERP specifically for transport and shipping companies. It is a robust and flexible tool, capable of responding promptly to the operational and management needs of a highly complex sector.
Starting about ten years ago, Gruber Logistics also extended its digitalisation to warehouse logistics, implementing WMS Replica in all its warehouses, with the aim of ensuring complete control of activities and offering customers value-added services such as kitting, customised packaging and promotional labelling specific to the various large retail chains, both in Italy and abroad.

The logistics depot in Corteolona (PV)
One of the most significant examples of the effectiveness of Gruber Logistics' digital approach is the Corteolona logistics hub in the province of Pavia.
The warehouse covers an area of 22.000 square metres, with a capacity of 32.000 pallet spaces distributed over 14 metres in height, supported by 40 loading bays. Inside, 60 employees are engaged in managing approximately 10.000 items belonging to different customers operating in diverse sectors, from dry food to products for retail and industry.
Gruber Logistics offers both traditional logistics services and highly specialised value-added activities on this website, such as:
- Omnichannel management, with order preparation for delivery to:
- large-scale retail outlets; distribution centres (e.g. Amazon); end customers (e-commerce)
- Preparation of single/multi-product displays
- Set-up of promotions for large-scale retail outlets
- Kitting & Repackaging
- Returns management, divided into three categories:
- Regeneration: restocking of recoverable products; Repackaging: quality control and preparation for re-entry; Waste management: shredding, disposal and entrusting to specialists for disposal
WMS REPLICA
In the case of food products, where it is essential to monitor expiry dates, WMS Replica ensures FEFO (First Expired, First Out) management, guaranteeing that the batches that entered the warehouse and have the earliest expiry date are the first to leave. For the management of these items, Gruber Logistics also boasts HACCP certification, which protects the safety and quality of the products.
TMS SIMA
With TMS Sima, the company manages both FTL (Full Truck Load) shipments, i.e. full loads for a single customer on a direct route, and LTL (Less Truck Load) shipments, i.e. partial loads, relying on third-party carriers for the groupage of full load journeys, with a view to optimising costs and environmental sustainability.
