Domori Spa

Domori was founded by the creative mind and passion for nature, gastronomy and cocoa of Gianluca Franzoni. In 1993, after finishing his studies in Business and Economics, Gianluca arrived in Venezuela, where he fell in love with the magic of cocoa, deciding to develop a business model to reposition fine cocoa on the market.

Since its founding in 1997, Domori has been a real revolution for the cocoa world: it was the first ever chocolate company to produce chocolate with Criollo cacao, the rarest and most valuable ever.

Domori S.p.A.'s head office is in None, just outside Turin, where the production plant is located.

Domori is now part of the Polo del Gusto, the holding company of Riccardo Illy that brings together brands of excellence in the food&beverage world. 

In 2019, the company announced it had signed an agreement to acquire Prestat, one of the best-loved chocolate brands in the UK and supplier to the British Royal Family. 

As of July 2020, Domori changed its company name to Domori S.p.A. and decided to become a Benefit Company. As a Benefit Company, the firm intends to work towards goals for the common good and to operate responsibly, sustainably and transparently in relation to people, communities, territories and the environment, cultural and social property and activities, organizations and associations and other stakeholders.
